Pub / Music: Lilly Wood & The Prick for Virgin Radio and Guerlain
The last communications campaign for Virgin Radio is much talk about it right now because of a controversy. Originally, a mayor humorless (and very vague in its arguments) wishing to remove the posters of his city for the damage produced by the elderly this campaign. I will not participate in the debate but rather discuss the choice of music for TV commercials this campaign. Indeed, the selected song "Down The Drain" is interpreted by a group that I appreciate very much, Lilly Wood & The Prick. This is the single (released on Virgin Radio, of course) 1 album of the Paris group that starts out being drilled and I discovered several years ago.
Similarly, viewers have been able to hear them in another commercial for the fragrance by Guerlain Idyll. Amid all this jungle perfume advertisements carries us during Christmas or Valentine's Day, the spot of Guerlain rather basic and very classic, tries to emerge through his music that accompanies it, "This is a love song . But here, the song is not from the album but the EP released last year. Thus, a new version of the album comes out, including the song.
I already mentioned in a previous post the potential impact of the choice of music in an advertisement on the career of an artist or group and j hope and Lilly Wood & The Prick will broaden its audience through these two spots.
